What we provide, what your group is responsible for, what we charge, and where the limits are.

By using RedCurtain you agree to these terms. If you are setting a group up, you are agreeing on its behalf, and you are confirming the committee is content for you to do so.
Software a group uses to run itself: its register, productions, auditions, casting, rehearsals, meetings and books, and a public page where people can find it. We provide the software. The group runs the group.
This is the important one. When somebody buys a ticket, a membership or something from a group’s shop, they are buying from that group. The money goes directly into the group’s own Stripe account, which the group opens, controls and signs into. We never hold it.
So the group — not RedCurtain — is responsible for:
A group’s Stripe account is governed by Stripe’s own terms, which the group accepts directly with Stripe when it connects.
That is on top of Stripe’s own processing fees, which Stripe takes from the group directly. The pricing page shows the arithmetic against other platforms, including one that is cheaper than us.
If we change what we charge, we will tell group administrators before it takes effect, and it will never apply to a sale already made.
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it. You are responsible for what is done through your account. Give us an email address that works — it is how we reach you about your group’s money.
You keep ownership of everything you put in. We use it to run the service for you and for nothing else: we do not sell it, mine it for advertising, or use it to train anything.
You can ask for a complete export of your group’s records at any time, and we will give it to you in a format a spreadsheet can open.
A group can close itself whenever it likes. Closing keeps the records readable and stops anything further being changed, because a committee’s books and minutes are worth more than the space they take. You can ask for your export first.
We may suspend an account that is breaking these terms, and will say why and give you a chance to put it right unless somebody is being harmed.
If we ever wind the service down, we will give every group reasonable notice and a full export. A group’s money is in the group’s own Stripe account throughout and does not depend on us.
We will take reasonable care to keep the service running and your information safe. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never have a fault — it is built and maintained by volunteers, and we would rather say so than print a guarantee we cannot keep.
Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to supplying the service again, or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost takings, or a cancelled performance. We are not responsible for the acts of a group or its committee, including how a group treats its members or its buyers.
When these change we will update the date at the top and tell group administrators if the change matters. Carrying on using RedCurtain after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the law of South Australia, and the courts of South Australia have jurisdiction.
